Aurora TDLAS Hygrometer
TDLAS
GE’s Aurora analyzer uses tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy (TDLAS) to measure moisture in natural gas rapidly and accurately. The analyzer is suitable for installation in hazardous areas and operates over a wide range of environmental conditions. Aurora’s fast response quickly alerts and documents when moisture concentrations are out of compliance. Once process upsets are corrected and the gas dries out, the fast response enables natural gas to be cleared for entry into the “energy grid.”

GE’s experience in moisture measurement includes aluminum oxide, polymer capacitance and chilled mirror sensors. GE’s heritage also includes the development of the first injection diode laser in 1962 by Dr. Robert Hall in Schenectady, NY. The compact and inexpensive diode laser made it possible for compact discs, laser printers and fiber optic telecommunications. The new Aurora TDLAS hygrometer enables natural gas processing and transportation facilities to monitor moisture content in real time with high precision and reliability.

HygroTrace Ultra-Low Moisture Transmitter
HygroTrace
HygroTrace Ultra-Low Moisture Transmitter measures the moisture content in the parts per billion (PPBv) range in nitrogen and argon gas for applications such as cylinder and tank filling, gas distribution systems in fabrication systems, and tool and machine manufacturing in the semiconductor and ultra-high purity gas (UHP) markets. With over 70 years of experience with aluminium oxide moisture sensors, GE Sensing developed a new aluminium oxide sensor, manufactured with modern semiconductor techniques, which uses a newly patented measurement technique to provide the sensitivity and speed of response in the PPBv range matched only by traditionally expensive analyzers. It is now possible to monitor multiple points of measurements for less than the cost of one analyzer and without installation constrictions. Its unique and innovative sensor measurement technique responds to wet up and dry down conditions in minutes minimizing moisture intrusion in your process.

HygroTrace Transmitter features an integral backlit display and keypad electronics package mounted on a “flow-through” tee sample cell that can be installed directly into the process stream or on a bypass leg of a gas distribution network. HygroTrace measures from 0 to 100 PPBv moisture in nitrogen or argon gas with trending analysis beyond the calibrated range. The accuracy of the measurement is ± 20% of reading or ± 5 PPBv, whichever is greater. HygroTrace offers unprecedented speed of response for aluminum oxide sensors in this very low range with a response time of less than 20 minutes to 95% of a 25 PPBv step change. HygroTrace features analog (4-20mA) and digital (RS485) outputs. HygroTrace’s compact VCR sample tee is designed for installation where space is limited and requires no custom machining

Features
  • Rapid speed of response to both wet up and dry down conditions comparable to high-end analyzers
  • Highly accurate moisture measurement from 0 to 100 PPBv

DewPro MMY245 - Moisture Analyzer
MMY245
The MMY245 Moisture Analyzer is a convenient, portable instrument that can quickly spot check the performance of gas dryers for compressed air, breathing air, and pure gas supplies. The planar capacitive sensor combines accurate dew point measurement with fast response time. M Series - Aluminum Oxide Moisture Probe
M-Series
Panametrics aluminum oxide moisture probes have set the standard of performance and value in industrial moisture measurement for more than 40 years. In use, M Series moisture probes are coupled to Panametrics hygrometer consoles by an interconnecting cable. Ease of use, wide measurement range and rigorous calibration standards make these systems the preferred choice for industrial moisture measurement worldwide.

Superior Performance

Film thickness of the oxide layer is critical to the performance of this type of sensor. GE manufactures sensors with an oxide film thickness that causes them to exhibit true absolute humidity, rather than relative humidity response. This critical film thickness also gives the M Series probe quick response and exceptional calibration stability

Features
  • Intrinsically safe when used in conjunction with certified electronics or zener barriers
  • Superior sensitivity, response speed and calibration stability
  • Optional temperature sensor
  • Calibrations traceable to National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) or National Physical Lab U.K. (NPL)
  • Designed for in situ applications or in conjunction with sample conditioning systems
  • True absolute humidity sensor
  • Wide dynamic range
TF Series - Aluminum Oxide Moisture Probe
TF-Series
TF Series probes are coupled to Panametrics hygrometer consoles by an interconnecting cable. Ease of use, wide measurement range and rigorous calibration standards make these systems the preferred choice for industrial moisture measurement worldwide.

Built-In Pressure and Temperature Measurement

The three-function TF Series probe measures pressure and temperature, in addition to moisture content. This is because accurate determination of many moisture measurement parameters requires knowledge of the process temperature and pressure. GE eliminated the inconvenience and limitations associated with installing and using separate temperature and pressure sensors by building that capability directly into the TF Series probe. A nonlinear negative temperature coefficient (NTC) thermistor to measure temperature from –22°F to 158°F (–30°C to 70°C) and a choice of five solid-state piezoresistive transducers are available to measure pressures up to 5000 psig (345 bar).

Temperature and pressure input data are used by Moisture Image Series 1 and 2 analyzers, Moisture Monitor Series 3 analyzer and PM880 portable hygrometer to determine parameters such as parts per million (ppm) H2O and relative humidity.
Features
  • Intrinsically safe
  • Ambient to ppb moisture measurement
  • Built-in temperature and pressure sensors
  • Calibrations traceable to National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) or National Physical Lab U.K. (NPL)
